Doug Curry

Doug Curry

Doug Curry has served as the CEO of Xceligent, Inc. since its inception in 1999. Mr. Curry leads the executive staff and strategic direction of the company. His experience in real estate dates back to 1983 with hands-on experience of developing commercial and residential properties alongside his father. In 1996, Curry founded Pinnacle Appraisal Group, LLC. By focusing on customer service, standardized processes, training, and utilization of technology, Curry grew the company into one of the top appraisal firms in the country and his business model became the standard for many national banks. Curry then founded Pinnacle Commercial and experienced first-hand the difficulty in obtaining quality commercial real estate information. He founded Xceligent as an answer to that industry need in Kansas City. Over the last nearly 20 years, he has directed Xceligent’s growth into a proactively researched commercial real estate information provider covering more than 50 US markets.

 

 


Nate Lipowicz

Nate Lipowicz

Nate Lipowicz left his career as a professional baseball player with the LA Dodgers Triple A Club and joined the Xceligent team in the 2000, becoming the Drive Team Leader for our Field Research Team.   He managed a three-year, multi-million dollar roll-out of several major U.S. markets, inspecting over 265,000 commercial properties, before moving into Local Market operations, serving as a Metro Manager for two of Xceligent’s largest markets. In 2006, Nate took over management of market research operations across Xceligent’s markets, while also providing direction in the development of the tools that make Xceligent more efficient at collecting information.  Nate now serves as the company’s Chief Research Officer, overseeing the continued development and innovation of Xceligent’s research tools, as well as providing strategic vision into Xceligent’s expansion.

 

 


Erin Curry

Erin Curry

Erin Curry, a 17-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry has extensive experience in management and operations across multiple companies. As a founding partner of Pinnacle Title Group, she served as President and Chief Operating Officer. As the company grew, she became the primary COO for both Pinnacle Appraisal and Pinnacle Commercial – ultimately directing operations of all the Pinnacle companies. Curry later served as General Manager for Ronin Development Group, a real estate development company focused on residential housing and small commercial projects. As a co-founder of Xceligent, Erin has been an integral part of the company’s growth and development. In her role of Chief Human Resources Officer, she is deeply involved in employee operations, as well as overseeing employee onboarding, engagement, and training helping the company grow to over 1200 employees.

 

 


John Kill

John Kill

John Kill has served as Chief Financial Officer of Xceligent since December 2015. In this role, he is responsible for Xceligent’s finance, accounting, and Project Management Office (PMO) functions.

Prior to joining Xceligent, John spent five years as the CFO of Pollen, Inc. (dba C2FO) a successful startup and global working capital marketplace in the fin-tech sector. Prior to that, John was CFO of Advent Financial Services LLP, a banking segment startup focused on delivering tax refunds on debit cards for unbanked consumers. Prior to that, John spent fourteen years at H&R Block’s world headquarters in progressing roles eventually becoming the divisional CFO of HRB Digital Tax Solutions, their DIY tax prep business. John began his career at Deloitte as a Senior Tax Consultant specializing in the insurance and real estate industries.

In his spare time, John has loaned his economic modeling skills as a consultant to various low income savings research projects sponsored by Harvard, Brookings, The Aspen Institute, and Hello Wallet, among others.

John earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Kansas. As an undergrad, John studied Business Administration and Accounting at the University of Kansas. John is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.

 

 


David O’Rell

Since joining Xceligent in 2001, David has been involved in all aspects of the organization.  David was the head of research at Grubb & Ellis in San Diego when Xceligent launched its first researched market and joined the organization as the first Regional Director.  For the next several years, he travelled extensively to direct the customer training activities for all new market launches.  David quickly determined the company’s need to convert to proactive research and became a key driver to convert into a proactive process that is the cornerstone for how the company operates today.  After gaining an understanding of customer needs, David took over product direction and oversaw the Regional Director team.

Most recently, David has created the Advisory Board process and assists in establishing these boards in all new markets launches.  David now runs Xceligent’s national commercial marketplace, CommercialSearch.com, handling the strategy and operations for Xceligent’s national marketplace.

Prior to his work with Xceligent, David spent 2 years at REApplications working with strategic accounts on the implementation of proprietary, customized commercial real estate software.  While at Grubb & Ellis, David was involved in the launch of G2, one of the first internet-based commercial real estate software applications.

 

 


Steve Coutts

Steve Coutts

A 28-year veteran in operations, sales, sales management and research management within the commercial real estate industry, Steve joined Xceligent in 2016 as Head of Sales. In this capacity Steve is overseeing sales strategy across all markets, working closely with current leadership to accomplish the revenue goals of the company.

Prior to joining Xceligent, Steve’s accomplishments include:

  • National Director of Research for Savills Studley
  • Sales and sales management for leaders in commercial real estate research – REIS and CoStar
  • President and Founder of the Boston Commercial Real Estate Network, a commercial real estate broker in Boston and New Jersey
  • Co-owner of Coutts Capital, a New Jersey-based real estate investment company
  • Registered representative with Northwestern Mutual Life.

Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in business management and economics from Cornell University, and completed the strategic sales management program from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

 

 


Joe Emison

Joe Emison

Joe Emison is a serial technical entrepreneur, most recently founding BuildFax in 2008, and has consulted with many other companies on their own cloud launches and migrations. Joe oversees all technology and product management for Xceligent, and regularly contributes articles to The New Stack and InformationWeek on software development and the cloud. Joe graduated with degrees in English and Mathematics from Williams College and has a law degree from Yale Law School.

 

 


Andy Liebman

Andy Liebman

Andy Leibman joined Xceligent in 2016 as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. In his role, Mr. Leibman provides executive leadership and counsel, strategic planning and oversees Xceligent’s business development initiatives. He is a proven Sales, Marketing and Strategy executive with wide-ranging experience in the financial service and commercial real estate information industries.

Mr Leibman also works extensively with other DMGI businesses. He joined CMBS Analytics firm Trepp in 2000, where he was responsible for leading Sales, Client Management, Business Development and Marketing and played an integral role in growing the company into a recognized market leader that today supports over 850 firms across the globe. Mr. Leibman continues to provide Trepp guidance on both strategic initiatives and business development efforts. He also serves on the Board of Buildfax, a leading property condition company, and is a Board Advisor to SiteCompli, a CRE compliance monitoring and data company.

Prior to joining Trepp, Mr. Leibman held executive roles at two unit companies of Informa Group PLC, a UK information company. At Assetrac, Mr. Leibman drove the initial growth of the early stage REIT analytics business and positioned the company for its successful sale and at International Insider Publishing he lead North American expansion of the sales and marketing operation for the industries leading fixed income information business.

Mr. Leibman holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island and studied International Finance at the American Institute of Foreign Study in London.

 

 


Martha Coacher

Martha Coacher

Martha Coacher leads corporate marketing for Xceligent, which serves the commercial real estate industry as the leading source of verified information and data. With 20 years of experience, Ms. Coacher is responsible for developing go-to-market strategies and executing programmatic marketing plans for Xceligent’ research, analytics, and technology solutions.

Having joined the Xceligent team in 2016, Ms. Coacher is an integral part of the company’s national expansion into new markets, new product launches, and broader platform positioning. Her responsibilities also include leading corporate marketing for Trepp, a sister company in the dmgi portfolio. Her expertise includes building a marketing infrastructure, rebranding a firm’s evolved position, and championing targeted lead nurturing and closed loop analysis.

Before joining Trepp, Ms. Coacher was head of marketing and alliances for information technology firm, Paragon Solutions, which provided custom software and advisory services to targeted industries. While at Paragon, Ms. Coacher developed a methodology that “productized” services to establish a turn-key approach for taking services to market. Her efforts helped move the firm from commoditized professional services to being recognized as a higher-valued service provider.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Coacher worked in the information technology and pharmaceutical-related industries performing the full scope of marketing responsibilities including: multi-media and collateral production, advertising, public relations and special events. Ms. Coacher has held leadership positions for PKS Information Services, an infrastructure outsourcing firm, IBM Corporation and pharmaceutical associations in the Washington, D.C. area.

Ms. Coacher holds a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science from Northwestern University. She is involved in a number of professional organizations: CREFC Women’s Network; Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Accredited in Public Relations (APR) 1999; and Information Technology Services Marketing Association (ITSMA).

 

 


Neal Shaw

Neal Shaw

Neal began his career in 1989 as one of the original team of developers for TurboTax at Chipsoft in San Diego, CA (Acquired in 1992 by Intuit). After subsequently leading the core system development of a Tax Software Platform for small CPA Firms, Neal relocated to Kansas City, MO and joined H&R Block leading the development effort to create a Tax Preparation System that was used in over 15,000 tax offices by over 100,000 Tax Professionals. Over Neal’s career at H&R Block, he also led the development teams for the Electronic Filing System, TaxCut Software and The Online Tax Platform for consumers. In his most recent role at H&R Block of VP & Chief Architect, he led the Enterprise Architecture team and Innovation Lab and holds several patents as it relates to Tax Preparation Systems and collaboration between Tax Professionals and consumers.

After leaving H&R, Neal founded Innovocative Solutions, creating several mobile and web based applications and systems with a focus on User Experience, Complex Integration and Innovation.

In Neal’s current role as CTO for Xceligent, Neal has responsibility for all technology initiatives and product development.

 

 


Wayne D’Amico, CCIM

Wayne D'Amico

Wayne D’Amico, CCIM, works directly with the CEO on Xceligent’s growth nationally into remaining Top 10 U.S. markets with focus on New York City and Northeast. D’Amico is responsible to establish and maintain strategic industry relationships that enhance the brand, expand adoption and product offerings.

Prior to Xceligent, D’Amico has been engaged in diversified services in nearly a billion dollars of commercial and investment real estate projects in the areas of strategic and valuation consulting, transactional brokerage and creative financing to a national clientele since 1987. D’Amico is a Past President & Chairman of the CCIM Institute with over 20 years of leadership and service to commercial real estate profession. In 1988, D’Amico received the “Diploma in Real Estate” from NYU’s Real Estate Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Real Estate & Finance from New York University in 1989.

 

 


Andrew Jenkins

Andrew Jenkins

Andrew Jenkins joined Xceligent in 2014, when Xceligent acquired Charlotte-based commercial real estate research firm, Karnes. As an owner and Managing Partner at Karnes, Mr. Jenkins was responsible for the firm’s commercial real estate analysis, software development, marketing, and business development relationships. In his role with Xceligent, he is responsible for ensuring that the company’s product offering meets the needs of the industry, while achieving the company’s business objectives. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Jenkins also provides industry-insight and counsel on strategic planning, marketing, and business development initiatives.

Mr. Jenkins is a contributing writer to the Charlotte Business Journal’s Real Estate and Leasing Report and has also been a frequent guest lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School, helping graduate and undergraduate students better understand how market analysis and research improve and aid the decision-making process in the commercial real estate industry. Mr. Jenkins was also recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of the region’s 40 under 40 during 2009, which acknowledges those individuals under 40 that are making major strides in their careers and having a positive impact on their communities.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Jenkins provided marketing and business development support for a technology startup specializing in software to create and validate business rules for rapidly storing and transporting data. The startup was later acquired in a $100-million-dollar stock purchase from one of the leading provider of infrastructure software for enterprises.

Mr. Jenkins holds a BS in Business with a focus on Marketing & Finance from North Carolina State University. He is involved in a number of professional organizations: NAIOP Charlotte, NAIOP Research Triangle, NAIOP Triad, and the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS (CRCBR).
